I saw something today that really snagged my knitting and I needed to make a point of dealing with it.

I saw a #neurotypical person share their crochet project and say “Crafting ADHD strikes again”
There are so many things wrong with this.

1. It isn’t a buzz word just to be thrown around to mean indecisiveness.
2. #adhd and other #neurodiversity is a god damn slog to deal with every single day and it’s made worse when neurotypicals lessen it.
3. ADHD doesn’t allow you to CHOOSE your hyper focus or special interest.
4. It’s not a trend and shouldn’t be jumped on by neurotypicals as one.
5. Crafting ADHD doesn’t exist! Crafting may be a part of hyper-focus or a special interest but the fact that someone would pass the remark “Crafting ADHD” shows how incredibly uninformed they are.
6. It screams neurotypical privilege. Being able to throw around the term so loosely and not having to deal with what actually comes with it.

If you are a #neurotypical person, please do not throw #neurodiverse terms around it’s incredibly insulting. Make an effort to understand the ND reality and watch your narrative.

“Create to Heal” is my unique project to combine #counselling and #creativewriting to aid #petbereavement #petloss

I am proud to be a (soon to be) qualified Animal Human Bond Specialist with distinction with a focus on #petbereavementsupport

Grief from #animalloss isn’t taken as seriously even though at times, it can be even more difficult to overcome. I want to be a safe place to be authentic in your grief and a pal to help you in your healing while you create habits for long term #healthymentalhealth

I’m going to be launching in January with a taster session coming 9th January.

I wrote this piece a few months back for @riyahspeaks to give help on the run up to the festive period for those with #neurodivergent or #chronicallyill people in their lives.

I hope not only does it give help and understand to friends and families but also companies too; shops, cafés, transportation providers to possibly aid awareness this time of year for shoppers.
